Orthopedics

Orthopedic physical therapy is a dedicated form of rehabilitation which focuses on the expert examination, evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of injuries or disorders of the skeletal system (bones and joints) and the associated neuromuscular systems (nerves, muscles, tendons, ligaments).

The physical therapists at CRI are experts in treating orthopedic conditions; they use expert skills to evaluate, diagnose and treat neuromusculoskeletal injuries and illnesses. After a thorough evaluation, your physical therapist will design a specific rehabilitation program to reduce or eliminate pain, prevent further injury or damage, and restore optimal function to return you to all of your favorite activities.

The primary emphasis of orthopedic physical therapy is on biomechanics (the physics of how the body moves). CRI physical therapists are highly trained in anatomy and biomechanics; this provides your therapists the expertise needed to assess your condition and identify the source of your pain or disability. After the assessment, your physical therapist will produce a specific and individualized plan of care for your treatment. Your treatment plan will be tailored to your unique needs to ensure the best possible response to treatment to optimize your pain free function.
